3 Day-Survival Back Pack Kit in the form of Grab-n-Go Emergency Kit

Kit should Include at least:

Back Pack with Water Bottle & Cell Phone Holder (zip lock bag to water proof phone).

(2) Solar Blanket

(1) 33 Piece First Aid Kit with snake bite kit (this could be added).

(1) Whistle/Compass Combo

(1) Map of area or state that you live, in a zip lock bag.

(8) Food Bar 2,400 calorie (Trail Mix with Nuts & Chocolate will work, Vacuum seal it).

(4) 8oz Water Cartons, (5 yr shelf life)

(2) Pr. Leather Gloves

(1) Roll Duct Tape, at least 10 Yards.

(4) 12 Hr Light Stick

(50) Waterproof Matches

(1) Pocket tissue, in a zip lock bag.

You might be able to put one together cheaper than this. strike anywhere matches can be coated with clear nail polish (from your wife’s collection) to water proof them. And zip-lock bags for sealing tissues & important papers, etc.

Back Pack Why? You just might not have transportation available if you have to evacuate, depending on the disaster & if everybody else are stampeding to the major road ways. I would get the supplies that you had in mind, consider space for all the emergency things that you want on hand as well as the weight that you might be carrying.

Pocket Hunting Hammock The odds that you might have snakes or fleeing critters is very good, depending on the disaster. I don't think I would want to sleep the ground, if this is the case.

Water Filtration Large This little Berkley will do a lot of water, ideal for stationary camp, for the whole family. This is the best filtration system!

Potable Aqua Water Purification Iodine Tablets

Bug Repellent a small can.

Swiss Army Knife Multi purpose & first aid conditions.

Leatherman or Stainless Steel Multi Function Pocket tool for a quick general purpose tool on the move, I valued mine in the Army.

Emergency LED Flash Light This one you just shake it, to charge it for use, it never needs batteries & always ready for emergencies, adequate brightness.

LED Flash Light Can last for 3 days non-stop use, before needing to change or charge batteries, very bright light.

Solar Battery Charger I found that this was invaluable in the field (Army).

Chemical light One time use, 12 hr. immediate use, O.K. brightness.

Emergency Radio/Flash Light LED

Road Safety Flares 30 min. flare, a great way to quickly start a a camp fire irregardless if the wood is wet or not. Not to mention cutting chains or locks off in emergency situations.

Pocket Fisherman Small, efficient enough to do the job, especially in a emergency situation or camping. I use power bate, super dooper lure, crawfish tail (found under rock in a river-catch) or a piece of aluminum foil (lure-resembles a small fish, slowly reel).

Fresnel Lens Great for starting a camp fire instead of matches, it can get up to 6,000 degrees, multiple creative uses. Also good for hard to see maps!

Get some Charmin toilet tissues, squish the roll & zip-lock bag it. Huggies moist towels from a Dollar Store & small garbage bags for when you need to do #2 (poop). Large garbage bags for muli-use as well as survival methods in cold.
